I’m always looking for recipes that are simple to put together and taste great. Beef biscuit casserole is a dish that definitely fits that description. It was a recipe that my grandma used to make for her family, my mom liked to make when I was growing up, and I now enjoy making it for Taylor and I.

Start by browning your ground beef and adding the pepper and mushrooms.

Stir in the tomato sauce, chili powder, garlic salt, and onion powder.

While the meat and sauce are simmering, pull apart the layers of half the biscuits and press them into the bottom of your baking dish.

Combine 1/2 cup shredded cheese, sour cream, and egg in a bowl and mix well. Add to the meat mixture and stir.

Pour mixture into baking dish and sprinkle with remaining cheese.

Cover with remaining biscuit layers.

Bake at 375o for 25-30 minutes, until the biscuits are golden brown.

Ingredients
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 green pepper chopped
  • ½ cup diced mushrooms
  • 8 oz. can of tomato sauce
  • 2 tsp. chili powder
  • ½ tsp. garlic salt
  • 2 tsp. onion powder
  • 1 tube refrigerated biscuits
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 egg
  • 1½ cup shredded cheese

  1. Start by browning your ground beef and adding the pepper and mushrooms.
  2. Stir in the tomato sauce, chili powder, garlic salt, and onion powder.
  3. While the meat and sauce are simmering, pull apart the layers of half the biscuits and press them into the bottom of your baking dish.
